Classic conervatives are for smaller govt. Bush and his apologists are for big BIG and intrusive govt. Do you agree with Bush's out of control budget policies?

Nope. But I wonder if just printing more money like Jimmy Carter and all the other Democrats have done and still want to do is a good idea. Shouldn't they have something to backup paper notes with besides a promise to raise taxes on the middle class?

Just be accurate about what the problem is - tax policies are WORKING. Tax revenue is pouring in at record levels, yes, even after adjusting for inflation.
The problem is that Bush spends way too much.
If we could cap federal spending at 2X CPI, there would within 2 years be no federal deficit.
If we could cap it at CPI, we could start paying down the debt.
Me, I'd cut spending dramatically but you don't even have to do that.
That's what's so sad about it - Bush is wasting a golden opportunity. No matter how fast revenue grows, he can't stop himself from spending it, and even if revenue continues to grow by $520BN 2006 dollars every two years, as long as he keeps spending more, there will be a deficit and anti-tax-cut Lefties will use the deficit to falsely assail the tax cuts.

The Conservatives no longer stand for smaller gov't....and their idea of a better government is to make it larger. It's been happening for 7 years now.
Spend and borrow is a very accurate statement.

i disagree with a lot of them , but i understand he has to play politics to keep republicans in the running for 08 which is a very sad thing
