What is the best way to debadge a car without damaging the paint? I have a black car, so any scratches, etc show up with increased clarity.

Use a hair drier(carefull not to overheat the paint) to heat glue, and a plastic putty spreader (clean, with no cracks, or sharp edges) to get under and lightly pry up. Use WD-40 and a clean cotton rag to get residue off. WD-40 works great for many glue residues left behind from stickers, tape, and so on. It is mineral based, just like the glues, just thinner and doesnt damage paint. Make sure that the badges dont have any post that protrude thru the body panel though, it would suck to brake one half way off, and then realize it, or have a hole in the panel.

The badges are usually just put on with some type of double sided tape. Th e easiest way is to use a hair drier and heat up the badge and around it. This will loosen the glue and you should be able to just peel it off. Don't go to fast nice and slow
