I tried to restore and didn't work. Any help would be great thanks.

Try downloading Realtek AC 97 Audio. It worked for me. Just type it into the search engine and it should give you a link to get it.

I think you will have to get the driver for the soundcard. This happened to me this week!! Contact the supplier and ask for the driver, they may even email it to you. Alternatively check all the discs that came with your pc to see if the driver is on one of those. Found mine on disc labelled "motherboard". Slip it in and it may come up with varios driver options. The only way you can do this is to re install the drivers with the disc that came with your system. Simple as that. Please say you kept your disc. If you didn't save your disc, go to your computer's web site and download the drivers from there. it will be fine.

are u running xp? if so use system restore and take ur comp back before u deleted the driver or if u have ur motherboard cd put it in and run it again. hope this helps

You will need to reinstall the driver. Check the web site of the manufacturer of your PC. They should have it available for download for free.

Right click My Computer, left click management. click device manager. Click sound,video and game controlers, and it will take you to a place where you can download drivers from the X-P or Vista os.

I had that problem and contacted the manufacturer who were no help so I got in touch with Microsoft and they talked me through it.

if you have your cd just reinstall the drivers on log on to the manufacturers website and you should be able to download it from there..

go to START -> CONTROL PANEL -> PRINTERS AND OTHER HARDWARE -> ADD NEW HARDWARE (on the left side)

it may ask for the os disk.
