Not to my knowledge, but Rush Limbaugh didn't waste any time doing so. I'm sure she'll spew her usual poisonous garbage, she's a scummy sort of person at her core.

News flash. Politics is about nothing if not how one turns negatives into positives. It wouldn't be the first time and it certainly won't be the last.
Unfortunately, the dog and pony show that is Presidential politics is often determined almost solely upon perception of such matters and the generation of sympathy would not be above a politicians bag of tricks.
There are issues that Edwards stands for or against on a philosophical basis.
He is a lawyer, so pinning him down to statements that will actually show his true character will be the biggest challenge for voters and the biggest avoidance for Edwards (and all the other candidates also).
If you are very vigilant and work hard, you will be able to discern where the various candidates stand on crucial issues related to defence, economy, world affairs, welfare and other issues.
Only then will you be able to determine whether or not any one specific candidate aligns with how you feel on those issues.
Unfortunately, it will boil down to who can present themselves in the "best light" with as few warts showing as possible.
And then the opposition will attack the winner for the crime of winning when they didn't.
You know, business as usual. Net benefit for the country = Negative value regardless of party affiliation.

i think he pretty much did do that... after all.... why would you say something about it....
lets see he is in the hunt for the office and no one is talking about him he is at the bottom of the stack of people...
so far the news has only focused on hilltard and obama... I'm from NC and he has not been in the news since he said hey,... I think I will run....
by the way.. he was not receieved well here in NC when he held this news breifing... so who knows..
currently I think the crowd here is saying he is going to drop out and wants to be able to say it is because of the cancer.
who knows we will see as the days roll by... but if what they said is true...as in can be treated.... but not cured... that pretty much means she has years left...
does seem strange to me they hold a news conf. the day they find out... didnt even take 2 hours to grab as many news cameras as he could grab.. which maybe he wanted to say it before someone else did-

oh, he totally is. see, Obama has the african-american vote, Hillary has the pro-feminist vote, and now, Edwards has the sympathy vote. at least now he's on even footing, he didn't have a chance in hell at the presidency before this. yes, that sounds harsh, but we republicans deal in harsh reality, not pretty unicorn-lands that you libs obviously reside in. politicians sometimes do bad things for their own gain. sory to bust your pretty pink bubble.

Well you know he is, he is a media hound, and loves being in the spotlight. Didn't he do this with something else the last time he ran??
