Say you're in the "222" area and you're dialling a number with a "222" area code and *your* cellphone has a 222 number. Do you dial:

12227771234
or
+12227771234
or
2227771234
or
7771234..?

Thanks!

Would it be the same for text messages? And do you never have to bother with the "+1" or "1" thing?

you can dial either 1(222) or just the area code 222 if you are calling w/ in the same area , if you are calling out of the county the international code is 011 and depending on what country you are calling, there is a country code after the international code.... but you would need all this if ur just calling inside the country

within the same area code, you can typically dial the last 7 digits.

I can also dial the full area code and number and it will be just the same.
