Kobe is the best player this year as he has shown us. WHen I say best, I don't exactly mean most VALUABLE. I think if the keep winning and winning like they are, he will be a strong nomination for MVP.

If we're talking college, Kevin Durant, hands down. Texas wouldn't have even been a tourney team without his scoring and quiet leadership. Expect him to be the first or second player taken in the draft if he declares (which he should with those chicken legs of his...remember Shaun Livingston). But in the NBA, the best player this year would have to be Steve Nash.....again. He consistently put his team in the position to win ball games. His ppg is only down slightly (20.4 to 19.1), while his assists are up (11.6 from 10.2), while he is also playing one minute less per game (40 down to 39). This translates into him making his teammates better and helping them score more points. I think they could definately survive a 7 game series with Dallas and San Antonio, especially with Mr. Nash running the show.

If you're talking about the NBA then Kobe Bryant and if you're talking about the NCAA then it's Kevin Durant.
