He does indeed have to pay for his civil lawsuit. But, he has managed for the time being to make himself somewhat judgment proof (difficult to collect). Moving to Fla. was part of his scheme. They are a debtor friendly state.

He has to pay but the way his assets are arranged the Goldmans will probably get nothing.

BTW, the civil suit has nothing to do with jail time.

You cannot do jail time for private debts.
