I know that they're a much higher frequency than other speech sounds, but need to know exactly (for my dissertation). Can anyone point me in the direction of some research on this? Can't seem to find information anywhere.

Useful speech is between 300Hz and 3KHz. Sibilance is above 3KHz usually peaking about 5KHz. Figures here are the normal rule of thumb numbers for the passband and slope for speech filters for radio communication.
