Which one will be the best beginner spider I have had taratnulas before but it was years ago and I would like to get back into them

Of the choices you are giving I would go with the Rose hair. Either is a nice docile critter but the Pink Toe is a bit harder to keep. They have higher humidity requirments and houseing them takes a bit more imagination. I have never had any luck with the Pink Toes. One opton is that the Pink Toes can be kept communialy with some success but if not done right you will just end up with one really fat one instead of three or four normal ones. I had three in one tank for over a year. The Rosies are darn near indestructable and wicked easy to care for.

Rose hair is the standard beginner spider. The pink toed is not an "aggressive" species either though. Stay away from cobalt blues and Goliath bird eaters, these are very aggressive. If you have a "local" pet store they may be able to help you choose. There is one in Burlington VT called Pet Advantage that has VERY knowledgeable staff and could answer your questions if you don't mind long distance charges. Good luck in your search.

Rose Haired. Pikntoed are a litte more agressive than the Rosies.

probably the rose hair. pink toes are quite sensitive and finicky.
