How would you advertise this...
WHAT SHOULD I WRITE???...

Mothers’ day is coming (May 13th, America) , please tell me, is this a good idea, I sell Avon and my brother gave me this idea... (He said it would work for the men who just don't know what to get... and the men who work too late to go shopping...) make gift baskets... and do a "build your own basket" or a “You pick the price” where you tell me what you want in the basket and I put it together. And charge...

Ex.
Small basket: $2.50 plus the cost of the Avon products.
Medium basket: $3.50 plus the cost of the Avon products.
Large basket: $4.50 plus the cost of the Avon products.

Do you think this would work???

would it work in a small town???

PLEASE HELP ME FIGURE OUT WHAT TO WRITE!!!!

Good idea ....but why stop at Mother's Day? Keep it going for Father's Day,Graduations,Party Gifts...you get the idea I'm sure. The prices of the buckets are about right. And it can work. You may want to write something like this....( Let Avon and I help you build a fabulous gift basket for all occasions.I will personally advise you and help you make this a wonderful and fun gift.)Then print some fliers and get them out.You may want to make up a basket or two ahead of time showcasing maybe Mother's Day or a Baby shower.Have lots of samples on hand and you might even advertise in your local news paper. The cost of that is reasonable. You can even make up a few more baskets and host a build your own basket party.Punch , chips, dip, maybe a dessert and take orders that way.Let Avon know what you are doing so they will take note of your wonderful idea.Best of luck to you.

Shopping for Mother's Day? Not sure what to get? The store closed before you got off work? Never fear! We have what you need! Why not make the woman in your life an Avon gift basket? Pick the items you would like in the basket, or leave the selecting to me. Your gal will love it!

Small basket: $2.50 plus the cost of the Avon products.
Medium basket: $3.50 plus the cost of the Avon products.
Large basket: $4.50 plus the cost of the Avon products.

Or something along those lines.

That sounds like a great idea. I did the same thing for my mom and sister at Valentines. I bought the avon V-Day hand creams and lip glosses and then stuck a couple extras in and wrapped it all in V-Day clear paper. It was cute, cheap, and they loved it!

You will just need a way to get word out to customers. Maybe make some flyers to hang up around town.

I think it would be a great idea, especially in a small town. As far as advertising, I think word of mouth, or a small flyer printed up posted around.. Maybe a run in the newspaper. Hang the flyer in some barber shops, places men go.. would be a great idea! Keep up the creative thinking!

That's a good idea. Marketing will be the work.

You might consider sending postcards or a short letter to the husbands and sons (if you know how to contact them) of your existing clients. Let them know that you can help them put together the perfect gift for their wifes or mothers, a gift that they can be sure of.
