We are looking for something to do tonight that doesn't cost a lot of money and doesn't involve dinner or the movies...something different. Any ideas?

Depends on what part of the country you are in....but here in OKC the weather is pretty nice and we have an area around down town where there is a river walk......and what we do is brew a pot of coffee and each take a big cup ( you can spike it if you want) and we go down there and walk or sit on one of the benches and watch people....its nice cuz it doesnt really cost anything and we have time to talk and laugh.

my husband of 16 years and I like to do "out of the ordinary" dates too! Why not bring out the kid in yourselves and go to a family fun center (without the kids!) and ride the go carts and play video games - maybe earn some tickets and turn them in for something silly as a memento for your desk at work, or in the kitchen windowsill to make you smile while you are doing the dishes ! Then maybe head off to the pet store and pull some puppies/kittens out of their cages to play with? Next, go to the toy store and get a twister game (5 $!) and go home and play naked twister!

Museum - art gallery - bookstore - old town - wine tasting - street fair - farmer's market - car show - free concerts in the park - day hikes - beach walks - picnics - paint a mug at one of those places - make bracelets for each other with one of those cheesy kits - ditto christmas ornaments - plant flowers - come on woman, THINK!

Have a carpet picnic at home. Light some candles, get finger foods like strawberries and whipped cream,grapes,cheese and crackers and a bottle of wine or whatever you prefer. Put some romantic music on and enjoy your evening together.

My wife and I will take our cameras and drive around and stop and take pictures. Sometimes its in the country or along the water. But we both like to take pics, we're not exactly photographers or even photographic hobbyists. But we enjoy it because we spend the time discussing things that we find interesting or pretty enough to take a picture of.

How about just going to the bookstore and getting a cup of coffee. Agree only to pick out books you want the other to read. It can get pretty funny and romantic. I know I am a geek!

Sit in a dark room. Lay in the floor, and listen to eachother breathe. It's a nice change from all the chaos in the world today.

Find the closest beach by your home and the two of you can walk,wet your feet, bring a blanket so if you all wants to sit you have something to use,and just watch the sky and from there...follow your passion.....have fun...

I know guys hate window shopping, but I managed to make it fun for my hubby once... We checked out mens stores and I told him exactly how I thought he would look in all of the clothes, and how I would take them OFF!!!
