Yesterday I read an article in Essence magazine where a DL man said that to attract men, he'd wear designer labels. In my mind, clothing is of no indication, but it seems to be in this community. Does anyone have any idea if there are "DL labels" to let other men on the low know that someone is open for homosexual activity? As a straight woman, I'd like to be armed with as much info as possible.

I'm pretty educated on the issue already and really, this issue isn't new. It's just has a new term attached to it. There have always been macho gay men around. I, too, am aware of signs. Vibes. It's just that this man stated that he wore designer labels to attract men and something else to attract women. I was just wondering if there were certain labels that was a cue to other men that they were open. No pun intended. If so, THAT would be some new info for me to learn. I just wanted to know for the sake of information. It doesn't matter what labels they wear, women need to be careful and these DL men need to do the right thing and tell the truth.

Trust me sweetie........there are so many men out here living on the DL until it's not even about the clothing that they wear OK? You have to really zoom in with your eyes on their demenor. How they act around each sex. I can spot one a mile away! They think they're fooling some women now and I'm going to be totally honest with you. If I miss one on the DL and I wind up dating him and find out later. I'm getting fingerprinted by the State and Federal Police. Because I'm sending his @ss straight to hell! Trust girlfriend on that! I'm not going to be one of these dumb b!tches that sit on the Oprah Show and discussing details! F*ck That! I'm going to f*ck to JAIL! AND THAT'S REAL!

Agree with above. I first heard about this on Oprah some time ago.

These men are bisexual. The really sickening part is they don't inform the women they are involved with!

Be very aware.
