If the whole family can agree on it, go for it. As for sharing the bathroom, my mom wouldn't have much sympathy. She grew up in a family of 7 (2 parents, 4 sisters) and all shared 1 bathroom. If the bathroom or bedroom can be upgraded to have some sharing space (added shelf space, separate boxes for their stuff, ect) she might not mind sharing her bathroom so much. Another idea would be to add a vanity and mirror with lights in the bedroom so that bathroom time to "get ready" is shorter, since one would be able to use the bathroom for that purpose, and one would be able to get ready in their room. Of course with 16 kids and 2 cousins living there now, I'm sure you're organized to the max. I guess my answer would be: is there a compromise that can be reached so that your daugher wouldn't mind sharing her bathroom? As for the 13 year old, I'm sure she would love being part of a family, any family. And larger families, while overwhelming at first, are great to be apart of.

Ok, first your a wonderful person for having all these kids!! Why don't you get all of your kids and this 13 yr old girl together and see how they would react to one another. If she fits right in then adopt. This doesn't just effect you it effects everyone involved. Get to know her really well. Also add on another bathroom. Problem solved lol!!! There are wonderful teens out there that are dying to have a home. I plan on adopting an older child in the future heck no diapers for me again lol!!! Go for it, but just like a marriage, it's got to mesh. I'm sure she'll fit in perfectly, and would love to run wild and free instead of an institution where nobody cares. God bless you and I plan on adopting children too!!!

If I were a 13 year old girl who didn't have a family I would be thrilled to be adopted by a good family no matter how many people already lived there and were in the family. She'd probably be happy to finally have a big family after being without. Then again, it might be a bit of a shock to her. But I think she would get used to it and be happy to have a family. If you already have a specific girl in mind, can you talk to her and feel out if the huge family would be too much?

Every kid deserves a chance, if you are willing to take on another kid and give it a good home, go for it. Without your help she may never get the chance to have a family and a real life. Definitely think about it! I would love to like on a farm with lots of people to be around and learn from! Good Luck

If I were a 13 year old with no family, any family that would show me true love, concern, and guide me and I can trust them and they will respect, love and nuture me, I would gladly be a part or want to be a part of that family. Acceptance and love yes! Any other reason like money from the state and greed, and or free labor or whatever no I would not want to be a part of the family.

If I were a thirteen year old girl that was without a home, I would be absolutely thrilled to be adopted, period. If you have the resources, by all means adopt her.
And for the fifteen year old, she has a point, could you build an additional bathroom?

Dear Salomon (oops), she would wake up in Paradise. Surrounded by other teens, next to the Nature... However, a 13 years old girl comes to you "ready", with things you love and will enjoy forever, and things you'll hate and will spend the rest of your life trying to fix. A girl is not a cartoon character, she has a blooming personality. Talk to her, bring your clan together, to see how they interact.

I really think you have enough right now and if your 15 year old is allready concerned I wouldn't do it. You sound like your household is very balanced now that girl could really tip it over into chaos.
To be honest I like small families, my guy would think its great to be among a large family, but I would not.
