Take it to the animal shelter. If you didn't know what it was, you should really have left it alone. It could be diseased, hurt, and lord knows what else.

Er, if you "found" a wild animal (which I assume it is, since we have domesticated most and KNOW what they look like), your best bet is just to release it back where you found it.
Wild animals may bite, kick, sctratch, and carry parasites or diseases.

You could start by describing what it looks like, how big is it, does it have four feet, wings, ears, what color is it, does it bite, is it furry or all skin, what kind of sounds does it make, Has it eaten since you found it and what did it eat, Is it pretty and cute or ugly & nasty,................................................................
