If you experienced history beyond the present admin. you may learn that democrat Pres's have engaged in more wars than "GOP" Pres's. The GOP Pres's just perpatrate them longer.
You may or may not remember even old Billy the sorrowfull, sent a number of cruise missiles into Afghanistan long before we had domestic terrorism. I don't think any of the parties have a corner on the international market, but I do think the "Dem's" do also care about domestic social issues, which is "a good thing" in my opinion.

Well, Iraq really wasn't that big of a problem until the GOP's exalted leader turned it into one. Now, by the time we're out of there we'll have spent a trillion dollars and accomplished almost nothing.
As for marijuana laws, I don't use drugs but still I believe drug use should be legal. Sure, it would cause some problems, but it would solve even more - and save us a ton of money. If there's any "war" that's more futile and expensive then the war in Iraq it's the "war on drugs".
