Great idea!
You will have treasures in heaven if done in the right spirit of things. You know, expecting nothing in return~except a tax write off...
You know, at this moment in my life, I would qualify. call me, I am a GREAT tenant. No criminal record, honest, trust worthy, no bad habits, ETC

Free rent? I could finish writing my book...
Do you allow for outdoor cats? I can not part with Manny and Eden. You would like them, they are gorgeous and so sweet.

Bad idea, unless there is a direction for these people to go. The intention is good, but what happens when the billionaire has to make them leave or support runs out. Someone else will need to take care of them unless they learn to take care of themselves.

Depends on the low-income families. If they're grateful for it the outcome would be good, but if they have no appreciation for what they're getting the outcome would be bad. The people who are grateful would take great care of the homes, but those who don't have any appreciation would trash the places.

I suspect it will justify his faith in the crappiness of humanity. If he finds the right families, it will ba a great thing for him to do. If he ends up with the usual over entitled "poor" like I have seen while doing charity work, it will be a disaster for him, albeit an eye-opening one.
