I was on Depo for 3 years. My last shot was in Sept. 06. I still haven't menstrated. I was using an ovulation kit but never found my LH surge. Now I'm having symptoms of pregnancy: Sore/tender breasts, nausea when exposed to strong odors, & frequent urination. I took a preg. test which was negative, but I don't know if I took it too early since I didn't menstrate yet. Doc's appt. on Monday...Could I be pregnant? Or is this a symptom of going off Depo/ovulating?

Thanks everyone. Your answers are great. I just took the Ovulation test and it showed a faint surge result line, now I'm doubting that I read the results right for the past month. I DID have a result line that was ALMOST as dark as the test line, but I thought it had to be exactly the same color. Maybe I was ovulating after all. If I was, it would've been approx. 10-12 days ago. Hopefully the doctor can clear things up for me.

Its most likely a syptom from the depo. I was on depo for a year and now Im having problems as well. Apparantly, Im not ovulating. It usually will take your body a few cycles to get back on track is what doc told me. but do another preg. test in a week to be sure.

There is a possibility that you could be pregnant, but normally women don't ovulate if they don't have a period, notice i said normally but SOME women do ovulate and not get a period...I would lean more towards side effects of coming off the depo..I was on it for 2 years and stopped it in july of 06 and had pregnancy symptoms for a good 3 or 4 months..I started the pill to get my periods back and normal since i never had a period while i was on depo.So i would suggest keeping your doc's appointment to just make sure and see how everything turns out congrads if you are and goodluck ttc if you aren't...

Depo is some awful stuff, it can take up to 18 months to clear it out of your system and get your periods straightened out. the symptoms you are having are due to hormonal imbalances, that is also why you haven't ovulated or had a period as of yet. I took one shot of Depo and regretted it, I started ovulating, but would get my period about 9-10 days after I ovulated which is too soon, once I even got a positive pregnancy test, only to start bleeding the next day. I ended up having to take a month of birth control, to straighten things out and even then wasn't ovulating quite right and used a cycle of clomid for my last pregnancy.. so the choices are to wait it out for up to 18 months, to try some herbal things to balance our your hormones (like www.ovulex.com), try birth control pills for a month or two, or talk to your doctor about other help (like clomid etc) Best of luck to you

I know exactly how you feel. Yes you can already be preg. my doctor told me it could take 1-18 months to be regulate your cycles, but being you ovulate before you bleed you can be preg. Everyone is different though. I had the same symptoms you are having and it was a phantom preg. because the shot was out of my system and my body didn't know what to do. I hope it is preg. for you Good luck. Keep us posted
