Your baby is just tired, and since you're 37 weeks, there isn't much room for him to move anyway! With my first baby, towards the end she would go about a day and a half with no movement at all, and just as I was getting super worried she would start wiggling. At this point, they have regular sleep and awake cycles just like a newborn, so don't worry. Try drinking some chocolate/strawberry milk--that always woke mine up!

Call your dr and go to labor and delivery for a stress test... you need to make sure your baby isn't under stress. I had to do that last week at 37.5 weeks as well. They'll hook you up to a monitor and monitor your babies heart rate and your contractions. And if you baby isn't moving within 45 mins of being there (babies have sleep patterns of 45 mins-1 hour, that's why you should always do a kick test over an hour period) they will get the baby to move. They had to take this little vibrater thing and buzz my tummy with it. She jumped and woke up. But the monitor showed I was contracting every 4 mins... and I didn't even know it!!
Good luck. Definitely call your dr and get a stress test!
Oh, and this happened again at my dr apt yesterday, she gave me a juicy juice juice box and about 5 mins after I drank it I couldn't get the little one to stop kicking me:-)

The baby could just be sleeping. Since you heard the heartbeat, I am sure everything is fine. If you are still nervous, call your doctor. Try drinking some more oj and press on your belly. I remember doing that and it would make the baby move because I think my pushing annoyed the baby.

It's possible you could be starting labor ... the baby moves a lot less during labor. If you can still hear his heartbeat with his monitor, I would believe everything is okay.
Call your doctor anyway, and explain what is going on. Better to be safe than sorry!!

I agree. Call the doctor. But, also know that when the baby "drops" and the head starts heading toward the birth canal, movement will slow down a lot.
Also, there just isn't as much room in there as there used to be.
May the Lord bless you and your baby with a successful delivery. In Him,

Call you Dr. Chances are everything is fine. Happened to me and everything was fine and they said that happens a lot late in pregnancy. When I got there they gave me a large coke to drink, you may want to drink some caffiene, even though thats not usually good but it may get the baby moving so you will feel better about it

This could be early sign of labor. Many times the baby will stop movement before the big event. If you had a heart beat, I would not worry too much. Watch for other symptoms of labor and get ready it is probably not far off! Call your Dr. if you feel uneasy and need reassurance. Good luck!

Keep drinking plenty of water and move yourself around a bit.
If you have no movement for 12-24 hours, call your doctor immediately.
Otherwise, she/he may just be exhausted after Mom having a bad day.
Good luck!

Go get yourself your favorite chocolate candy bar and coke. Eat and drink happily and wait about five minutes. You'll feel like there is a marching band inside your belly. This is what I did at my doctor's visits any time my 1st was under a certain movement count.

Call your doctor. Even if the heartbeat sounds/looks good you never know. Better to get checked out. Good luck
