I am so NOT happy with my life and I have decided to make some changes. Different employment industry, different look, different everything. I have vowed to just be myself and tell it like it is rather then be the people pleaser I have been for 34 years. Anyone have any GOOD suggestions??

I am happy to hear you have decided to make things better in your life. You are never too old to start over. Remember: happiness is not the result of a lot of wonderful things happening in your life; happiness is a decision you make. It's all in the attitude. It might help to make a list of the highest priorities in your life and then decide what you need to do to make sure those things really get high priority. It may be a different job or different friends, or more time on a hobby you enjoy. It may even be something like getting more sleep, a healthier diet, going to church regularly, or a new hair style. Whatever means the most to you should be high on your list. Good luck! Smile! God loves you.

I restarted my life at 40 and again at 50. It has been a thrill a minute since 40. Go for it. Right now I live in a rainforest on an island in the caribbean. I used to manage hotels and restaurants and then became a computer system engineer, so it is not that I was some flake.

It better be possible. I am 38 and ditched my loser of a husband. I sign the papers next week. All you have to do is love yourself and respect yourself and others. After that, all the love and respect will come your way. Even if you decide to tell it like it is, though, instead of being everyone's doormat, you still need to think about how to word things to people. Otherwise you might come off sounding like a witch from hell. Just know what your boundaries are, what is acceptable to you and don't veer from it. Stick to your beliefs and people will respect you.

Go For It and good luck! I like changes too, and you sure are a brave woman to follow your instincts. When I did, everyone thought I was nuts, but I did it anyways. Just make sure that every change is thought through. Once again, best of luck to you. Besides, you can't please everyone, so you might as well do what makes you happy. we're only on this earth for a bit. That's all we have.

As long as you're still breathing, it's never too late to start over!

Not that it will be easy but "discontent is the first step of any great man, women, or nation!"

Things will get better, just stay true to yourself...be patient, and pamper yourself whenever possible... take the time to explore the new and improved you!

Good luck, and take care! =)
