Every doctor is different. My last doctor did an 11wk, 18wk, and 30wk. This time I have a different doctor, due to my last one retiring, and she orders them for 11wks, 20wks, and then after that you get them if needed. It is normal though to have an ultrasound at 18-20wks to determine sex. You should ask your doctor, I'm sure they will schedule yours very soon. Good luck, and congrats!

Most places say you have to be between 18 and 22 weeks to find out the sex of your baby but I would make it sometime around 19 or 20 in case your due date is a little off. I found out the sex of my baby at 19 weeks. Then you can get a 3-D ultra sound between 28 and 32 weeks although the longer you wait the more likley the babies head will be turned and you wont get to see anything personally I thonk this ultra sound is a waist of money by this time you are only a few weeks away from seeing the baby with your own eyes!

it surely relies upon on the caregiver your seeing on your being pregnant. my first caregiver replaced into an ob/gyn and performed an united statesa. 10 weeks 2 days and then my modern caregiver, a midwife had yet another performed at 18 weeks 2 days. My sister whether wasn't given an ultrasound till she reached 20 weeks and that replaced into the only one she gained. oftentimes while you're actually not on severe threat they are going to attempt to decrease your ultrasounds to a minimum of one or 2 till you % to have one (which would be out-of-pocket). With some docs they don't hardship till the baby is gigantic sufficient to envision for anomalies or deformities (between 18 and 22 weeks)

I had my first ultrasound around 8 weeks to determine due date and then I had one at 20 weeks to check development and to determine the sex. After that you usually only get one if there is a problem.

It all depends on your doctor. I always had one early and then not again till about 20-24 weeks. With my last one though I had them once a week due to the fact the thought she had a heart problem, which she didn't thank God. So I guess it really depends on how many and when your doctor thinks necessary. Good luck

My OB routinely does one at 20 weeks in which they check for many things including downs syndrome, and it is at that ultrasound that you may choose to find out the sex.
