to investigate how a simple pendulum depends on
1. the length of the thread
2.density of the bob.

it should include:
1. title
2.Procedure
3.Readings to be taken
4. Precautions:- (i) accuracy
(ii) safety

Thanks

All you need to do is set a pendulum swinging, and time its swings with a stopwatch. Dont try and time each swing though; that's too hard to do accurately. Instead, measure how long it takes to make 10 swings, and divide by 10 to give the time taken to make one swing. To investigate the effect of length of thread and density of bob on time, just vary them systematically. Employ a little creativity, this is a simple problem.

i have it in my LAB MANUAL, issued by the school wich has all the mentioned details, but its very lengthy, so sorry cant write the whole thing!
but 4 calculating density, take the wieght of the bob in water and then the wieght in air.
now we know density=mass/volume
so simple!

No answer here, but doesn't the time period of the pendulum not depend on density? ie in vacuum.
