Just my opinion here, but....
Cena was entertaining when he was a heel or at least a "mean face". He still rhymed. His skills in the ring were *improving* with each match because they had to.
And now? He just beats the crap out of people while the announcers *gush* about how "strong" he is to get some "big man" in a Fireman's Carry (to set up the FU). Uh, no? The Fireman's Carry is a *leverage move*, hello? The *name* for it came from the original over-the-shoulder methods *actual firemen* used to carry people out of buildings when it was one Fireman carrying one person for rescue.
Oh, and the mock-military gimmick is getting old too. Yes, it's *nice* that the WWE wants to do right by the troops and that Cena got caught up in that, but his street punk/hip-hopper persona was *much* more interesting, even back in his "mean face" days as U.S Champion on SD!....
So yeah....I'm not so much rooting for him to be a heel again...it would just be nice if Cena went back to his roots, back to basics, and I dunno, maybe "back to work", so to speak? ^_^

Well angeleyes, its a known fact that a wrestler who turns into a heel from being a babyface for so long will become more of a popular figure in the business. Fans seem to magnatise themselves to heels a lot more. Remember, John Cena was a heel when he first started in the WWE. I think it would be good for Cena to turn heel again.

Really they don't know what they want. They hate Cena yet they want him to turn heel because in their eyes he was better as a bad guy. Which is actually true, but if someone is going to be a fan they have to cheer them no matter if their bad or good.

I don't think it's that people want him to turn heel; so much as they want his character to be the way it was WHEN he was a heel on SmackDown!. Back when he did his 'freestyles' and wasn't trying so hard to be a fan favorite; and when he wasn't an 'overcome-ridiculous-odds', 'Superman'-type character. But make no mistake: Cena would DEFINITELY fit in better as a heel, with people booing him because they're SUPPOSED TO.
But that won't happen anytime soon, because as a face he sells a lot of merchandise, plus the younger wrestling fans (as in kids) love him.

I like cena and i dont want him to turn heel but i just think its a mader of time before he does and if he doesnt some time in his career that will be a first every 1n got to go bad some time
not alot of people think this but i think that he'll lose the title to hbk and turn heel

Everyone ( not literally) hates him and want everyone to boo him. There are so many people out there that boo Cena already so he might as well turn heel. Do you remember WRESTLEMANIA last year? EVERYONE was booing Cena and cheering for Triple H. Not many people like him so let us hate him.

idk. People are saying fans like Cena because he is champ but i will still like him if he is a heel. I think he should a stay a face because he works hard. Every wrestler gets booed, but just because they get booed doesnt mean they have to be a heel.

there are some people i like as a heel more than a face... LIKE JOHN CENA!!!! he was much better on smackdown! as a heel and wasnt wwe champion
another superstar that i really like as a heel is MRRRRRRRRRRRRR KENNEDYYYYYYYYYYY...KENNEDY!!!
i went to a house show in monroe lousiana in january a week before the royal rumble and mr kennedy was up against batista and everyone was chanting for batista and i was yelling the kennedy chant throught the whole match, my friend got a little embarrassed and everyone(little kids mostly, DUH!) were giving me evil looks...... sorry i got off subject i just wanted to say that.. I don't think its everyone, but I for one would enjoy seeing it. I think his character is better suited as a heel. He has a cocky arrogant Orton like attitude that comes through as a heel. Just because we would like to see it doesn't mean we hate him.

Yeah I he would make a good heel. Who wouldn't enjoy watching the punk get beat up.
