you heard of the curse of the bambino?....the celtics i think have now their own curse...the drafting of len bias was a gem of a steal for the celts coming in the year of their last championship...his death of a cocaine overdose on the day he was drafted i think not only shortened the career of bird but also ultimately cost the club a few more championships since bias was viewed as a jordan type of impact player...the luck of the irish seems to have gone for the celts since then...the celtics lost in the finals to the lakers the very next year and have never made the finals since...they were in the lottery the year tim duncan was available and lost out on that..at present time with danny ainge in control, many personnel moves and draft choices are proving to be mostly busts...the foreseable future looks bleak...it will take a massive trade or a lucky position in a strong draft year to make the celts contenders again, none of which seem likely soon...the only promising prospect maybe landing a durant or oden (if they decide to join the draft this summer) maybe the curse will be lifted...as a diehard celtic fan i have been bleeding green for the past 20 years and i just hope the bleeding stops within my lifetime....i just hope even the dufus of a gm named ainge doesnt manage to screw things up again in the upcoming draft...just look what he did last year...gave up brandon roy for telfair...passed on marcus williams for rajon rondo...didnt make the deal for allen iverson when the celts where in the front when trading talks started...almost makes it feel like ainge is out to destroy rather than help the franchise....it took over 80 years for the red sox to shed the curse...i just hope the celtic curse has a much shorter lifespan..............

not me, The Celtic's suck. They lost me after last season. The Bulls are the best, no doubt. However, the Celts were good around 20 years ago, but that was then and this is now. Don't worry though, they'll be better next season if they get Oden or Durant and they start Telfair instead of West.

I like them. They're the home team.

PG West is versatile and nba caliber
SG Pierce is top 10-15 when healthy
SF Green, with a little maturity, might work out
PF Gomes can play with the big boys but a little small for pf
C Jefferson finally displayed his game this year and it's good

There's a starting 5 for you except I'd rather have a 7' center with Al at PF and Gomes/Green rotating at SF. Too bad Olowokandi is a bust but is that fair? He's not had a legitimate shot at minutes in Boston.
And Szczerbiak's ankles... screw them together quick... he'd be great rotating with Pierce

I'd cut bait with Perkins. Injury prone centers with no offense are a dime a dozen.

I'm not a Celtics fan but I do respect a few of their players like Paul Pierce, Al Jefferson and Gerald Green. If they can stay healthy and Telfair develops into the point guard they need, they can become a pretty good team.

The Celtics have potential. Thay are a fairly good team. This is just not their year. They need to make changes and adjustments in the off-season. The Celts will win again several years fron now. It's better to have potential than to have non to begin with.
