There are many, many options.

Try Web Hosting Inspector. They rank several different hosting companies. They are all clearly outlined with links, user ratings, definitions of terms you may not know, and lots of support to help you tailor your decision to what you want in your web site.

Here's the link, so that you can find the option that's right for your business:

You need to do a couple of things. You need to register a domain name. That's cheap. Maybe 30 dollars for a year. sometimes less. After that you need to store your website on a server somewhere that is connected to the internet. Professional webhosting can be as cheap as 3 or 4 dollars a month and as high as the sky depending on what you need.

After you have a domain name and a place to put your website, you need to make a website.

I have a website through GoDaddy.com and they do both the domain management and the hosting. Yahoo also offers small business webhosting if you are interested. They charge about 12 dollars a month for hosting services.

If you have a tangible good, you can always open up an eBay store and sell there. There's so much web traffic it would be foolish NOT to use eBay if you can.

If you sell a service, try doing an eBay Classified Ad. At only $10 for a whole month, it could really be worth your while.
