i love kobe, but be realistic, if they make the playoffs with their spot right now or maybe 7th or 8th spot, do you guys think they could actually beat the spurs, phoenix or dallas, i dont think so, maybe next year when they are stronger or they have found another role player to support kobe.

I am a Lakers fan but I would have to say that the Lakers will not make it out it the Western Confrence. I do believe if they stay at the number 7 seed that they will have a shot at defeating Phoenix. I think that because Pheonix does not play defense and in a score battle you always have to give the team with a player like Kobe Bryant who can completly cntrol the game at least a possibility to win. THe Lakers will not be able to beat Dallas or San Antonio in a seven game series since both team player outstanding defense. For L.A. to make it to the finals, they will have to beat one of these two teams and I do not they they have the ability this year. If L.A. can get Bynum playing like he did in mid season or better nexct season I will like their chances next season.

No, they have one "great" player and that is Kobe but the other teams in the west are just too strong, if the season ended today they would have to play the Jazz which I think they cannot beat if they slip farther down in the standings they will have to play San Antonio, Phoenix or Dallas, If they play any of these 4 teams they wont get past the first round.

No way no how. They would have to go through either Phoenix, Dallas, or San Antonio and may possibly see two of those three teams and the Lakers are not good enough to take these squads in a best of seven.

Not this year. Kobe has been doing his thing lately but it's going to take alot more than a 60 point performance to get the Lakers to win the west and to the finals.

I am a huge Laker fan, but the lakers aren't going to make it... not even close. They will be lucky if they get past the first round in the playoffs.

no not a chance....they will have to play either the spurs mavs or suns and possible 2 of them.....also defense is easy against them gaurd kobe make others score. that wont happen and they will lose. all u have to do is gaurd kobe even if he gets 30 40 or 50 u make take 40 shots to get it then its over cuz no one else can help him

If they make the playoffs and I think they will, they won't get past the 1st round (Dallas, Phoenix, or San Antonio) they would have to get to the 5th seed to not face one of these teams in the 1st round. It's not gonna happen....!!!!!!!!!

no...

i think they'll be facing either spurs or suns.. there is no way they'll fall down to 8th seed and face mavs.. if its the spurs, they can win that round but if its the suns, early exit..
