Lobster, lobster, and then some more lobster. After that some great seafood, give me Legal Seafood and Anthony's Pier 4 any time. Of course for me it will always be Boston University as that's where I went to college and it was some of the best years of my life, I can never stop going back, it's in my blood, even though I'm a native Nyer.
Also the "T" and almost getting killed as my husband just can't learn to drive in that city. I love Boston almost as much as NY, and of course how can one forget Fenway Park, my first dorm room looked right down onto the park.

Coffee milk... not a food but most people in the world don't even know it exists!
Home made ice cream in Cape Cod.
Not a fan of seafood, but the smell of the ocean and the screeching of a seagull are things that make me think of home.
And as someone said...
FENWAY FRANKS... which we can even buy and cook at home!
North End bakery's, freshly made bread yummm. I'm getting hungry!

I love the nearby ethnic restaurants in Waltham (Moody St) and Arlington (Mass Ave). Thai, Indian, and Chinese food made by people who know what they are doing using their own family recipes always wow me. When I take home leftovers then my whole house smells the next day from reheating them and I can relive the dining experience. It shows why gateway cities like Boston are great living.

It all depends on what part of the city I am in. If I am in the North End, I LOVE the smell of all the italian food. Near the ocen, I love the smell of the seafood. &, in/near Fenway, I love the smell of the hot dogs & the sausages.
