Agreed.

I never said that all democrats were dumb but I also didn't see this coming. Looks like there are a few smarter ones out there. Now if they could just talk some sense into most of the others, they might not look so bad to others.

What an interesting implication.

When all members of your own political ideology agree on an issue (oh, let's say, abortion), do you say that they can't think for themselves, or that they simply agree?

Or is every person on earth required to have a separate opinion from every other person on earth at all times? That seems a little messy - think of the red tape involved in registering your opinion with the government and then making sure that it doesn't match anyone else's, just to be able to prove that you can "think for yourself."

Could it possibly be that people are Democrats because they largely agree with one another, and NOT necessarily that they agree with one another because they are Democrats?

No, of course not. Only YOUR political ideology operates that way. No one else's.

I don't care whether they are democrats or republicans or liberals or conservatives. I think they all need to get some guts and put the President in his place. If he vetoes the law, then simply override the veto--it's time to publicly take away the "Decider's" power and let him know who is really boss in the USA -- it's certainly not George W. Bush!

Why do you think Pelosi has to stoop to adding 21 Billion in Pork to get votes. She has lost her power over the party.

It's a political matter. Of course there's going to be disagreement.

But in most cases, the Democrats objecting to the Sept 2008 deadline want the troops home earlier, not later.

I wish neo-cons would take the hint and begin thinking for themselves as well.

The troops shouldn't be there in the first place. 5 deferment Cheney should tone down his hard-line rhetoric.
