my hair is currently natural and i'm forever perming it, growing it, getting tired of it, and then cutting it off.
an old school friend of mine is getting married in three weeks (just found out yesterday) and i would like to look good.
not saying that afro hair doesn't look good but i'm between a rock and a hard place!
or if you know of something else i can do with my short afro hair? tell me please.
sensible answers please as i'm going to go by your decision. thanks in advance.

Depends on the length...I'd say if it's really short, as in a coupla inches long, I'd get it pressed for the day and rock a short, sharp style. If you've got quite a few inches to play with I'd have some of it canerowed at the side, then leave the rest afro. My hair's natural and the thing I like about afro hair is that you can have is straight if you want or kinky. Relaxing doesn't give you that option.

I think you should perm it and then get a weave maybe tracks or braids maybe not braids but u should get tracks an Afro is not right for the occasion

well a afor will be cooler well i mean temp whise and look great to but if you thinking stylish go with the perm you can do all kinds of things after you have it done a pony tail is really in this seaon i saw that on style channel

You could keep it natural or what about wearing extensions. It's difficult to say as we cannot see what you really look like. I'm sure you'll look nice whatever you do, it's how you feel inside that counts.

I think black girls look cute with their hair straightened...but a girl here at work wears hers like in small pig tails (I am not a black girl hair expert but I think it is some kind of modified corn rows)...I think she looks so hot...I have never told her but anyway my 2 cents worth.

grow it and buy some cool hats and headbands! go to a good hairdresser to get a nice 'do for the wedding
