My girlfriend puts kittens in hamster balls and rolls them around her house. Sometimes they get hurt. What can I do to stop this? And why does she do this?

Because animals feel safer if they are encased in plastic balls! LOL. How big are the kittens?

You did not say if her rolling them around is why they get hurt, or if it is an accident. I once knew a person who put small kittens into hamster balls for short exercise periods to prevent people from stepping on them.
- Assuming that the hurting is deliberate, she was probably abused or deserted as a child. However, her problem is too serious for you to help her alone. Tell her to get professional help, or you must stop seeing her. Then tell someone that can help: a guidance counselor, family doctor/nurse practitioner, a minister, or an older mentally stable adult that you can trust.

I don't know why she does this,either she doesn't think anything is wrong with it or is mentally disturbed...Either way,PLEASE step in and tell her to stop,maker her stop this if at all possible.....Doing that can hurt their spines/feet and could even paralize the kittens!Hamster balls were NOT made for this time of animal........Please don't let her continue if at all possible,If she continues....Tell her if she continues doing this that you will call the aspca on her and have her investigated and probably have her kittens taken from her....Let her know that you are serious and aren't going to stand by and let this happen!
Just hope she listens before it's too late :( Poor Kittens!

Your girlfriend has a problem! you need to make sure that no defenseless animals are around her! She would be cruel to ANY defenseless life form, including babies and children. What is it you like about her? You should report her activities to the local animal welfare people, and if i were you. I'd stay away from her too.

She apparently doesn't have any compassion for animals and shouldn't have a kitten. Tell her how you feel and if she doesn't stop, she doesn't consider your feelings to be important so why stay around?

man shes has to realize that kittens dont like that. Everytime you see one of those balls, throw it out, she wont keep buying them. Maybe that will help.

shes crazy. Take the hampster balls away and then call pet control and have them take the kittens away.

I think that is mean and heartless what she is doing, sick !!
Years ago my german sheppard pup put her head into one of them, she looked like astro-pup. Thank goodness it has holes, till we managed to crack it and take it off her. But that was an accident, didnt purposley put the hampster ball on her head!!

She does it because she's a psychopath. If she does this to defenseless kitten, god knows what she'll do to children. I suggest that you run, not walk, away from her.
