What is the name of this movie and what happens? It might be something like The Black Lagoon or something. Its definitely from the 50s its black and white. I dont know any of the actors or anything. But all I saw was 2 men swimming underwater after this fishlike monster, they shot him w/ a harpoon and somehow they ended up capturing him. But then he broke out of the cage and thats all I saw. Does any1 know the name of this movie and what happens in the movie? Where does it take place, what happens to the monster, are there more like him, etc.

the movie was the "creature from the black lagoon"
the major star was Richard Carlson who was the star of a cold war TV series at that time titled "i led three lives". his co-star was Julie Adams, with support in actors Richard Denning and Antonio Moreno. universal studios set this plot line about a search expedition up the Amazon encountering a humanoid amphibious fish. this was a real chiller in its day. see attached source for more details.

It's called The Creature from the Black Lagoon. The creature takes the woman hostage, they go after it and kill it. But there has to be another creature because there is a second movie.
