Joy Division who recorded a small number of classic post punk singles was formed in 1977 in manchester england. They were named after nazi military prostitutes , following the suicide of lead singer Ian Curtis they regrouped as new order with gillian gilbert, lead guitarist bernie albrecht became bernard sumner and took over as lead singer. Joy Division were a morbid doom band with great atmosphere ,in fact this was an early single on sordid sentimentale and is now a collecters item.
