i suppose i say, HAM-OC
like ham-pig, ham sandwich, or your a big ham
and OC like the beginning of october
because i think it sounds better than ham-ick, i dont know, i think its weird to say ham-ick....

I guess I fall into the category of saying it as hammick. Bad pronounciation is something I do a lot.
