As long as the mower is grounded and the cord does not have any breaks/splits in it, I think it would probably be ok.... I was always told though not to mow when the grass is damp because it will clog up the mower and may shorten the mowers life span if done on a regular basis.

Good luck

There is no danger in cutting damp grass with an electric mower providing there are no poor or open connections in the extension cord.
Newer electric mowers are double insulated to reduce the risk of shock.

dampness is relative, but all electrical devices outdoors should be properly grounded with a 3 prong cord, into a properly grounded outlet. I dont suggest a GFI but a good cord is a must along with a good outlet that meets code. I do not suggest cutting wet grass, the true way to tell is if your lawn mower plugs up while attempting to cut it. if the grass clumps and sticks inside, its tooo wet.

not good to cut wet or damp grass with any type mower. grass will bunch up in bldes and cause mower to either slow down or stop and also will not get a good cut in lawn as many blades of grass wioll just fall over instead of being cut. wait until dry

It is better to cut your grass when it is dry, but not for fear of electrocution. The grass cuts cleaner when dry, and doesn't stick to the inside of the mower as much.

You should never use electricity around water, or moisture since it is an electrocution hazard. To be safe you shouldn't use an electric lawnmower on damp grass.

You can cut grass when it's wet, but you want to be careful of the ground. If it's too soggy, it will retain all the tread marks from the lawnmower as it passes. Very irritating.

It's safe...it's just going to make the cut all "fuzzy"and uneven and clump up in your mower.

No, wait until it's dry. You'll mess up your mower.
