I have to laugh at Rick's answer, "Because women live longer", but in reality there seems to be gender equity in sentencing, with the crime determining the length of sentence, and not the sex of the offender.

I'd recheck your sources of information.
However, I've always thought that criminals should be tried 'invisibly'. That is, the judge would only see a prisoner or case number, never meet the offender, and judge the case soley on its facts. There'd be no way to infer any racial or sexual bias' on the case. Of course, the defendant would be allowed a written statement, which, except for cases where it becomes relevent, all mention of race, sex, sexual preference, etc. would be struck from.

It shouldn't matter what color, gender or sexual orientation you are. It matters on the crime, not gender. If a woman commits a crime, the same as male she should get the same punishment. That may sound tough, but tough ****. How do you think the victim felt?
Better yet we should just execute the bastards especially if they are guilty without any doubt whatsoever

Law is based on morals, ultimately - at least the judgments tend to keep in mind intention, moral factors, etc. However, cross examination is done based on witnesses and evidence, ab initio.

Committing a crime with a penis doesn't make one any more punishable than the same crime without one. What color crack are you on?
