"The Moon, she hangs like a cruel portrait
Soft winds whisper the bidding of trees
As this tragedy starts with a shattered glass heart
And the Midnightmare trampling of dreams
But oh, no tears please
Fear and pain may accompany Death
But it is desire that shepherds it's certainty
As We shall see..."
She was divinity's creature
That kissed the cold mirrors
A Queen of Snow
Far beyond compare
Lips attuned to symmetry
Sought Her everywhere
Dark liqoured eyes
An Arabian nightmare...
She shone on watercolours
Of my pondlife as pearl
Until those who couldn't have Her
Cut Her free of this World
That fateful Eve when...
The trees stank of sunset and camphor
Their lanterns chased phantoms and threw
An inquisitive glance, like the shadows they cast
On my love picking rue by the light of the moon
Putting reason to flight
Or to death as their way
They crept through woods mesmerized
By the taffeta Ley
Of Her hips that held sway
Over all they surveyed

Save a mist on the rise
(A deadly blessing to hide)
Her ghost in the fog
They raped left...
(Five men of God)
...Her ghost in the fog
Dawn discovered Her there
Beneath the Cedar's stare
Silk dress torn, Her raven hair
Flown to gown Her beauty bared
Was starred with frost, I knew Her lost
I wept 'til tears crept back to prayer
She'd sworn Me vows in fragrant blood
"Never to part
Lest jealous Heaven stole our hearts"
Then this I screamed:
"Come back to Me for
I was born in love with thee
So why should fate stand inbetween?"
And as I drowned Her gentle curves
With dreams unsaid and final words
I espied a gleam trodden to earth
The Church bell tower key...
The village mourned her by the by
For She'd been a witch
Their Men had longed to try
And I broke under Christ seeking guilty signs
My tortured soul on ice
A Queen of snow
Far beyond compare
Lips attuned to symmetry
Sought Her everywhere
Trappistine eyes
An Arabian nightmare...

She was Ersulie possessed
Of a milky white skin
My porcelain Yin
A graceful Angel of Sin
And so for Her...
The breeze stank of sunset and camphor
My lantern chased Her phantom and blew
Their Chapel ablaze and all locked in to a pain
Best reserved for judgement that their bible construed...
Putting reason to flight
Or to flame unashamed
I swept form cries
Mesmerized
By the taffeta Ley
Or Her hips that held sway
Over all those at bay
Save a mist on the rise
A final blessing to hide
Her ghost in the fog
And I embraced
Where lovers rot...
Her ghost in the fog
Her ghost in the fog

"The Moon, she hangs like a cruel portrait
Soft winds whisper the bidding of trees
As this tragedy starts with a shattered glass heart
And the Midnightmare trampling of dreams
But oh, no tears please
Fear and pain may accompany Death
But it is desire that shepherds it's certainty

He sets up the story. It will be a tragedy. Instead of fear and pain, desire is the bad part.
"She was divinity's creature
That kissed the cold mirrors
A Queen of Snow
Far beyond compare
Lips attuned to symmetry
Sought Her everywhere
Dark liqoured eyes
An Arabian nightmare..."
He describes the woman. She is very attractive. Everyone wants her. She is beautiful to the point that it is scary, be it because you will fall for her, but never have her, or you will have her and everyone else will want her...you wouldn't have a moment of restful thoughts.
"She shone on watercolours
Of my pondlife as pearl
Until those who couldn't have Her
Cut Her free of this World"
The narrator gets the girl. She brightens his otherwise bland life. And then she is murdered.
"That fateful Eve when...
The trees stank of sunset and camphor"
He is setting up the night everything went wrong. Remember, this is a tragedy and the woman was murdered.
"Their lanterns chased phantoms and threw
An inquisitive glance, like the shadows they cast
On my love picking rue by the light of the moon"
The woman is in sorrow, and some group of people is coming upon her without her knowledge.
"Putting reason to flight
Or to death as their way
They crept through woods mesmerized
By the taffeta Ley
Of Her hips that held sway
Over all they surveyed"
The group is entranced by her beauty. "Taffeta Ley" is a description of her body in a fine fabric. Even in her sorrow she is still desirable.
"Save a mist on the rise
(A deadly blessing to hide)
Her ghost in the fog
They raped left...
(Five men of God)
...Her ghost in the fog"
The men were religious, and they raped the woman, leaving her to die.
"Dawn discovered Her there
Beneath the Cedar's stare
Silk dress torn, Her raven hair
Flown to gown Her beauty bared
Was starred with frost, I knew Her lost
I wept 'til tears crept back to prayer"
The body was found in the morning, benath a tree. She was clearly ravaged and left nude. She was far past dead, and the narrator cries until he returns to a memory of religion.
"She'd sworn Me vows in fragrant blood
"Never to part
Lest jealous Heaven stole our hearts""
They were married, and vowed to stay together until death. The Heaven line takes on new meaning, since she was raped and murdered by men of God.
"Then this I screamed:
"Come back to Me for
I was born in love with thee
So why should fate stand inbetween?""
He is distraught over her passing. He screams in protest of her death and to release his anger.
"And as I drowned Her gentle curves
With dreams unsaid and final words
I espied a gleam trodden to earth
The Church bell tower key..."
He stays by her body, continuing his prayers and wishes and laments until he discovers the Church key. The rapists left it behind.
"The village mourned her by the by
For She'd been a witch
Their Men had longed to try
And I broke under Christ seeking guilty signs
My tortured soul on ice"
The villagers didn't much care that she was dead. She was apparently a witch, and they were going to try her for witchcraft. The narrator goes in search of the killers.
"A Queen of snow
Far beyond compare
Lips attuned to symmetry
Sought Her everywhere
Trappistine eyes
An Arabian nightmare...
She was Ersulie possessed
Of a milky white skin
My porcelain Yin
A graceful Angel of Sin"
He repeats his description of her beauty and his love.
"And so for Her...
The breeze stank of sunset and camphor
My lantern chased Her phantom and blew
Their Chapel ablaze and all locked in to a pain
Best reserved for judgement that their bible construed..."
He burns down the church with the congregation inside, punishing them for their sin, leaving them to be judged in the afterlife for what their religion said was wrong (rape and murder).
The song ends with a final description of the narrator describing the lost love and his affections. It SUGGESTS necrophilia with his embrace of the ghost, but it COULD just be a last kiss or a strong memory (embrace is a vague term).
There MAY be other meanings here as well. Perhaps it is a stronger take on the sins of Christianity. Cradle of Filth is black metal, and there were some popular black metal bands that burned Churches in Norway 15-20 years ago (none of which were COF, my apologies to anyone who interpreted my statements as such. COF was barely around at the time...and they were in England...and I merely wanted to include possible subtexts to the lyrics; symbolism perhaps). Read "Lords of Chaos" for more black metal history.
Rock the Cradle.

Thank you for the lyrics. I love this song. This song is about a man's beautiful, misunderstood, Lilith-image love that was killed by 'men of god' (priests or such). They follow her, in obsession and hate, and then attack her and leave her to die. She was an outcast, so the village didn't care what became of her. When he finds her, he spends a time mourning over her. At first, it is ultimate sorrow for loss, then a desperate plea for her return to him, and finally (after finding the key nearby) a turn towards revenge.
The ending does not really imply necrophilia...it does imply that he committed suicide by her body...you know, the whole Romeo & Juliet type ending.
It is disappointing to see that some people still think that this song has anything to do with the burnings of the churches in Norway. This song is a tale of 'star-crossed lovers'. I guess people are quick to make connections these days.

In a nut shell... Someone is contemplating committing suicide over a broken heart, and all that might have been with this life that is ending, hopes and dreams, will be lost. All that was good in life was for naught, and it matters not. The death will be noticed by no on except the cold moon and the gentle breeze as witnesses.

Luckly this is a great solution for premature ejaculation http://EndPrematureEjaculation.enle.info/?5K10
A guy always cums fast when its their first time. and especially if he's been waiting for a long time. Guys are erect at least 5 times a day so what I would do is some foreplay until he ejaculates or the both of you for that matter its not fair that he has orgasms and you don't so get him to do you first and then once you finish he will be more than ready for his orgasm. then use a condom because that cuts down the sensations for him if he feels he is about to come prematurely then tell him to come out and do some more foreplay on you so he has time to calm down. the condom should work but if you want a baby tell him to take the condom of before ejaculation and then finish in you. the longer you wait to make him come with foreplay the quiker it will be because he has to get it out of him.
He also does need time because you are the only one he has been with so once he gets used to it, you can really enjoy it once he gets his techniques down pat. Tell him what you like. Get some books and videos also until you both are experienced. Or you could even have a quickie in the morning, when you get home and then at night. he will diffently last longer because his mind has been free twice already. You get on top of him and you control the situation. Also my boyfriend tells me that he thinks about none sexual things for a while to help control him, tell him to think about a sport or something that calms him. If that doesn't work then just do IT over until you are satisfied

The only thing I got out of it was that maybe there was a girl that was killed. It seemed like some men killed her. Men, who felt like they couldn't have her. The guy writing or singing, was in love with her though and how beautiful she was, and he's also talking about what happened that night. About how they killed her, and how he goes back to that spot looking for her ghost. ... Kind of crazy, but that's what I got out of it. .... I really hope thats what he's talking about.. otherwise i'd feel like a really depressed person. :)
