I lost 5 pounds during the first 6 weeks when I was pregnant. Although some women start to gain a few pounds early on. As long as your eating right I wouldn't worry about it.

most people havent gained any weight by this time, some people even lose weight that early in pregnancy because of morning sickness... i would say you MIGHT should have gained one pound by now... or none at all. im pretty sure i didnt start gaining weight until about 9 or 10 wks. and it was only like one pound at that time for me.

In the first 6 weeks I actually lost a couple pounds. About 16 weeks is when the weight started packing on.

I am 8 weeks (first pregnancy) along right now and I LOOK like I have gained 5lbs however when I got on the scale I havent moved. I seem to have bloated HORRIBLY in my tummy. You may not have gained any weight just REALLY bloated. I seriously look like I am 4-5 months along. I see my Dr. next week.

Usually by six weeks, nothing. In fact, I wouldn't worry if you hadn't gained any by eight either. Right now the baby and plecenta are absolutely tiny and if you are eating healthy and you do gain any weight straight away it is most likely due to water retention.
