hey tristan. no it is not the same b/c you will wonder more on whether or not they will say yes. i did this with one of my friends and it really got on my nerves when he didn't answer. believe me it is nothing like asking out someone else. more nerve racking. don't worry. i think you will do just fine and that the person will say yes. good luck.

Are you sure they are a close friend. Shouldnt have any trouble asking a close friend out.

No it is not the same because if yoou ask someone you don't know out that would be weird, but if you ask a friend out you know them better!

No its not the same, you have to make sure that the other person realizes that you mean a romantic date, and not just hanging out.
