Need velocity of Airplane B
-----------------------------------------
That's better:

Airplane B takes off 60 mins. after plane A and headsin the same direction. If airplane A travels with a constant velocity of 735 mph and airplane B with a constant velocity of 1070 mph, in how many hours will airplane B catch up to Airplane A? (Do not include units (hours) in answer.

735(x + 1) = 1070x
735x + 735 = 1070x
(1070 - 735)x = 735
335x = 735
x = 2.2

This question doesn't have enough information to be solvable. The only way to figure this out would be if we knew how fast plane B was. Although assuming it is the same speed, airplane B will never catch up.

Oh, and commercial planes don't go faster than the speed of sound, so the speed makes no sense.

This question is impossible to answer because you do not know the velocity that airplane B travels in.

good question. Yahoo certainly has a rule that an answer is had to adress the question. occasion: What colour is the sky? answer: i like airplaines. in spite of if "i like airplanes." isn't, of course, offensive, it fails to adress the question in a mildly adequate way. If readers flag it, yahoo has a mechanism which will do away with your answer or question (each so often with out any approved guy or woman certainly checking it and pulling the plug on it, I carry mutually). Flags are a gadget and you will possibly be able to't flag in case you abuse it and flag inappropriately, menacingly. (i think of it downgrades the value of a flag while it comes from somebody who flags inappropriately). Yahoo's mechanism has a manner of checking your development of flagging human beings too. long answer, yet, "i do no longer." is virtually comparable to easily answering somebody's question with the help of typing "hi." of course, it probable attracted lots of flags. i do no longer comprehend the two, the call of the music, yet while i needed to respond to, i might have contributed "i'm questioning of elvis and a on line casino for some reason." in spite of involves innovations is each so often useful. And that's not going i could have been flagged, even in spite of the indisputable fact that i did no longer somewhat comprehend the respond the two.

Obviously the velocity of Plane A is missing in your question. Plane B can only catch up with Plane A if it has a higher velocity. The more the difference of velocities between them, the quicker it will be.
I guess, you've missed it while typing. Please resubmit the question.
