It is still a little on the early side, so I wouldn't worry. There are other things to consider. I am pregnant with my 4th, and by 20 weeks still felt nothing. I was so upset thinking something was wrong. A routine ultrasound showed that I had an anterior placenta. It was across the front of my belly, so the baby was just a kicking away, but the placenta waskeeping me from feeling it. I felt so much better after seeing a very active baby on the screen. I'm sure all is well, take care and good luck with your little one.

yes, it's perfectly normal. I did not feel my son kick until I was 4 months with my 1st pregnancy. Now with my second pregnancy I am already feeling the baby move at 3 months. It differs with each pregnancy. But, if you still feel concerned, or it does not start moving in a couple of weeks, talk to your doctor to rule out any problems and ease your mind.

My son didnt kick until i was about 22 weeks...so dont worry! They are usually kicking already (even with how far along you are) BUT it can't be felt sometimes. Babies get positioned differently so even with you feeling your 1st baby that early doesnt mean youll feel the second at the time. EVERY PREGNANCY IS DIFFERENT! that is the one thing i had to tell myself when i got advice or different symptoms than others around me. So just listen to your midwife and if she has no concerns then id go with that. Congrats on your pregnancy!

Hello, you answered on my query, so I thought i'd write on yours. This guy is a global category jerk, you know that. And you're correct, you sound like a particularly great girl. However the problem isn't him anymore, it can be your std, your youngster and your future. Focal point on that. You have to get some legitimate aid. Ask your hospital if there may be any new remedy for the std and try to get some counselling from the local group center. You ought to be wise now, and make the proper strikes to save your lifestyles and your baby's. He's over, history. You realize he's no longer for you, now not for anybody for that subject. Go to a neighbors' situation maybe. What about your moms and dads ? The whole lot will be okay. Have faith in yourself, be robust.

each pregnancy is different. With my son I didn't show untill I was 6 months but with my daughter i started showing at 3 months i felt my daughter kicking real early but my son i was almost 5 1/2 months before feeling him move. Just keep in mind that if the doctors and midwives aren't really worried then you shouldn't be either, they went to school for this so they know what they're doing. I know it's hard but you have to trust them.

It could depend on the position of the baby .. my baby is breech (im 24 weeks pregnant) and I can only feel him kicking on my bladder.
I didn't feel any kicking until 18 weeks.
We went for a 3D ultrasound yesterday and he was kicking constantly .. but I coulnd't feel it! It had to be the position .. I did feel some of the kicks ... but definitely not all of them.
I'm sure your baby IS kicking .. he's just in a position that you cant feel them.
*Also, you might want to try drinking some orange juice .. that always gets my little boy going! He also likes yogurt, that'll get him going! and sometimes hot chocolate :)
As long as you feel some movement .. and your tummy is getting bigger .. no worries :)
congrats! good luck! God bless!

I am 18 weeks with twins and I still haven't felt my babies kick, so I rented a Doppler to listen to the heartbeats to feel reassured. With my other kids, one kicked at 16 weeks while another kicked at 22 weeks. As long as everything else is OK, I wouldn't worry too much.

Yes! I felt my first very early, but my second took forever! My OB said it was because the uterus can become less sensitive.
Don't worry! You'll be feeling the baby soon enough! Enjoy your last few nights of sleep!

yes, don't worry. could be that the first time around you had more time to focus on these amazing happenings. with the second kid you barely have time to fart, let alone sit quietly to feel your baby move. (i have 2 kids also). if you want to put your mind at ease though, ask your doc for a fetal heartbeat check and/or ultrasound. but i'm sure you'll feel him/her soon.
enjoy it! (i did)!
