i ve just completed my 12 class and now i ve to appear for engineering exams, but i have not prep. for that (as my brother did), as i wanted to drop this year so i could prepare for IIT.(thats why i want to go for coaching classes in KOTA).
my brother is doing his engineering from a M.D.U. college which is not thought to be as good as IIT or BITS or manipal,but he has got a package of 320000 from INFOSYS.
and one of my friend has gat the same package from the same firm but he has done his engineering from ITM GURGAON.(A GOOD ONE)
NOW I THINK THAT IF I GET A REALLY REALLY GOOD COLLEGE THEN IT WONT MATTER.
BUT IF I CLEAR IIT EXAM IT WILL SURELY ,GOIN TO CHANGE MY LIFE. AM I RIGHT

My son did B.E. from a less known college in Coimbatore. He got placement in Dell with 3,60,000.
In the job market the MNCs don't care where you got your degree from, they are interested in do you know the stuff and answer analytically. If they know that you can be useful, they'll take you.
Parents have put too much into the brains of their kids about the branded colleges. And know that IITs do not have 100% success story.

Prepare for IIT. Approach any one of your seniors who is in IIt and get guidance. A number of private tuition centres are available in and around your city. Choose the best one and undergo preparatory studies.
Once you have thought about your entry into IIT, You are half way thru. Now you should work that hard that you will not only reach high grades in the JET bu also get you desired branch of study.

Please note there is a lot of difference in preparation for Engineering college entrance exams & I.I.T entrance exam.
If you get admission into any I.I.T ,you will have excellent job & high salary.You should have a definite goal(I.I.t)plan& hard work
Good idea to join coaching classes in Kota.
You should join in a good institute,u should have good thinking skills,good problem solving skills.Good Luck.

Yes, definitely doing IIT is a better choice with better prospects.
