I have an interview at a place where they do everything from facials to nails to hair cuts- everyone there wears black pants so I feel like I need to wear something different- I know I should have my hair done but should I do my make up any differently (because all the girl's that work there are dolled up all the time). Thank you so much!!

Do whatever you feel comfortable with and nothing more.
Don't try and sell them someone you're not..that will only backfire on your and it might loose you your job.

Good luck. Look clean, presentable, happy and put together.
Let them see the real you and not a fake facade. Listen to what they have to say ..ask intelligent questions ( wouldn't hurt if you had them written down and brought it with you)..and tell them that you can see yourself here and you think you'd bring something that they could use.

One more thing...nothing outrageous or sexually provocative.
That is soooo unbusiness like

You have to be able to sell what you will be doing. If you are going to be doing manicures and hair and whatnot, then you should make sure you take the time to do your hair, nails, and makeup! If they are dolled up then you should be too! You don't have to necessarily wear black pants but I would as it fits the semming profile there. wear some heels with some bolero pants and a blouse that has a tie to the side or something. This is very fashionable as well and will show them you know what's going on in the world of style and fashion. Good Luck!

As Christi said, make sure your hair, makeup and nails are flawless.

If the black pants are a kind of 'accepted uniform', you'll be advised of that in the interview or you could add it to your questions. Your interviewer will see that you're paying attention and are interested in knowing about the business' preferences.

Whatever you wear, ensure that you look smart and will inspire confidence to the 'clients' that this business caters to... because if you do that, you'll be an asset to the business! ;-)

On the other hand, if you don't feel that you can dress and wear the 'dolled-up' makeup everyday, imagine a more conducive type of atmosphere for you, touch/taste/feel it into being inside of you so as to attract it into your experience. Then actively seek it out when looking for other job opportunities.

Good luck and .. have FUN! ;-)

Black always dress up does not matter how casual you are.

You are going to an interview, you are not at the company yet, so do not worry on if they wearing a color and you another. But as close you are to their style, the better for you.

Look for colors that that are favorable for your skin tone and hair color, because you will look better.
An interview you have to look professional,
so do not use colors too bright, that will distract; no deep cuts on your top or too tight pants. Close shoes always makes you look "polish".

It seems that is in a salon or spa. I will suggest to be current with the fashion trends. Even if they are "dolled look", you have to impress, so your make up should be a natural /clean look that accentuates your features, not a make up like you are going to the disco. You can be creative with your hair, but do not go for "puff" or over do.

Normally, I'd say go with formal business clothes, but since you're interviewing for different type of job, I'd encourage you to wear what they would expect you to wear. Black pants or suit with a nice top would work just fine. You can wear a pretty top in your favorite color. As somebody else said, make sure your hair, make up and nails look good- nobody wants to hire a hair stylist with bad hair. Do not try anything new and extreme- go with already tried styles that you know look good on you.
Good luck on your interview.

I have actually worked in a full service salon and spa, and the most important thing to remember is that customers come in and look to the employees for inspiration. While it's important to look nice, most salons ask people to wear black or white to provide a clean back drop to accent your makeup, nails and hair. Keep your outfit simple and sophisticated and put a lot of emphasis on your hairstyle, makeup, nails and accessories. Most salons don't encourage open toed shoes, so try to wear close-toed pumps if you can. Good luck!

No matter where you interview you must look professional!!!!!
dress in nice pants (black if you want) a button up shirt (make sure its clean and crisp with an iron) ... Of course you have to have your hair done and your nails. your make up has to be natural!
your shoes have to be closed toed high heals ( I cant wear heals for too long so I cheat and wear platforms as long as they look professional)
One you are hired they will tell you their dress codes and uniforms required! but you must always give a GREAT first impression!!!

and REMEMBER: Just because you wear black doesnt mean you look professional!!

I would go with dark-wash jeans a cute fitted sweater and some nice bead. Accessories are key so don't be afraid to accessorize. Some nice black pumps would be good and with makeup minimum is always good. Don't wear to much or it'll look like you're trying to hard.

subtle make-up little mascara. go in fresh faced, dont look like youre a maniquin.

A nice black or grey trouser suit with a pink shirt would be nice. have your hair nicely done. and dont go in chewing gum :o)

heel shoes, make sure they are polished with matching colour handbag. keep your hair away from your face, they wanna see your eyes, not have to look through your hair.
