Ask the waiter/waitress to see the management. When they arrive, tell them that you noticed a significant change in the temperature since you arrived. At that time you can ask them to readjust it, if they wont', ask for a refund (assuming that you haven't started eating).

If you have started eating, I would make a formal complaint to the management and let them know that you are not happy about paying for this meal. If they make you pay anyway, inform them that you will be sending a formal complaint to their boss as well as letting the media know about their treatment of customers. You could even send a letter to the editor.

This should get them moving.
Good luck!

Is it closing time? if so you should be getting your last plate and getting ready to leave. If you just got there its your own fault for going to a buffet at the last possible minute.

I used to work in a restaurant that had a salad bar and it was infuriating to have to keep my staff on longer because one person wasn't done eating. I never resorted to the old AC trick, but if the place is closed you should be respectful enough to finish up. People that work in restaurants have families and lives too.

Because they want you to be uncomfortable and not eat much. Less product they have to make, thus increasing the bottom line.

As the person said above, bring a jacket next time and outfox them!

Don't be shocked if they turn up the heat though!

They don't turn up the air conditioner so you will leave. They turn it up because the employees are very hot.

I would just huddle closer to my hubby and still continue to eat. I've already paid so why should I leave for?
