some of them don't care because they are surrounded by idiots. and cant bear society the way it has become. the smokes and booze make it worthwhile. killing yourself slowly and enjoying it is better than commiting suicide quickly.

Cigarette smokers are rich person who are mostly belongs to the so called high society life and are educated well having not only one degree but two or more degrees and some are doctorates.They just don't care about the sickness which they can get from smoking cigarette.

The poor man and uneducated could not afford to buy a cigarette which is very expensive however instead of smoking cigarette, he uses dried leaves of trees to supplement the tobacco leaves being use by the rich people in smoking.

Next time use correct word to describe a person. You should say "uneducated" not "undereducated"

No I don't as smoking was generally associated with glamour and movie stars when it was being advertised on a grand scale. Formula one cars and snooker tournaments, darts tournaments etc. A lot of the supermodels today smoke. Education can only do so much to stop smoking. And if you are poor it's hard to afford to smoke these days as it's expensive.

You're kidding right? Have you seen the price of cigarettes lately? Most smoke because they started young while they were foolish or anxious to be "grown up" and once they get hooked, it is very difficult to stop. It has nothing to do with being poor or under educated.

they help relieve stress, not in the long term, but temporarily. it has nothing to do with being poor, as cigarettes get more and more expensive by the day. it has nothing to do with being undereducated, i have seen surgeons smoking cigarettes, and lawayers. barack obama smokes cigs, and he graduated from an ivy league school. some people just like to smoke, and it is their american right to do so. (maybe not for long)

Yup. Of course, most people are undereducated and poor, but, proportionately, smokers are overwhlemingly poor and undereducated. Of course, it depends on your definition of por; the poor in America would be considered well off in, say, India.

i don't think it is either my parents both smoke and they are both educated and not poor i think it is from a number of things just not those it could be....

curiosity, when kids seeing parents doing it all the time they want to see what is so good about them. popularity, kids do it to be cool( i personally think that is stupid it makes you have a worse impression at school) and i think it is also how kids are treated by their parents it parents treat their kids like their nothing and don't care about them then they are going to do things because their parents haven't taught them right from wrong they didn't teach them anything except for the fact that they don't care thats what i think

No, because at my hospital I see the doctors and nurses smoking all the time in their designated areas. So apparently it's not being poor or uneducated, it's being stupid. And what about the Hollywood types and models who smoke? I've heard they do it to stay skinny.

No. Its an addiction, I don't think it has anything to do with there finical or education status. I have a degree, went to a great University and I own my own biz. and I smoke. Why? No real good reason,my parents didn't. Just a really bad habit!
