cant say without looking, but when I got silverfish (a type of insect) in my flat, I looked up on google to tell me the name of several house insects, on each one I googled individually, I got a picture to go with the description. Soon worked out what they were so could work to get rid of them.

Or if you are sure you dont want them and can afford to, just get rid of them by getting in an exterminator.

If you have pigeons in the area they could be Biscuit Beetle. They live in the pigeon's nests and could be in your loft so check there. They are not harmful but to get rid of them you need to have your loft sealed and fumigated but if the pigeons are still around they may come back.Type in Biscuit Beetle and read about them and see picture. If they are your problem they can spread downstairs and into your food, check your flour because this is the main foodstuff they go for.

Well...an insect. Uh, but could you be more specific? "tiny black insects", well, honey, there's a lot of those. That's too general.

Could they be plant gnats? They can breed in the soil of potted house plants. You can get stuff from the garden center to put in the soil that will keep them away. IF that is what they are.

It could have been previous husbands of the previous owner. And then again they may just be fleas of some kind. Lets hope it's not the old husbands...

They are probably termites, they usually show up this time of year, and I have seen two houses where they suddenly just appeared inside the houses.

They probably are termites. Have a termite inspector come in to check out the house.
