Actually, the goal of a performer is not to feel relaxed, but to channel that nervous energy into being properly focused. As a dancer, you know how closely your brain works with your body. Therefore, you are only hurting yourself by feeding your brain negative images of how you can mess up. Instead, channel that nervous energy into visualizing positive images of a flawless performance. Think through all the key moments and see yourself pulling off all the tricky moves without a hitch.
Meanwhile, realize that every single professional performer has horror stories of how they have messed up on occasion. But the proof of a real professional is that they don't reveal through their reactions that anything wrong has occurred. They simply adapt the "mess-up" into something that looks natural as best they can and, most of the time, the audience rarely knows anything went wrong. Your job is to keep smiling as though nothing happened. And if you've been doing your visualization exercises properly, your brain is ready to move onto the next key move without a hitch instead of thinking, "Oh my gosh! This is it! Time for the next horrible thing to go wrong!"
Prepare your brain for success and not failure and don't even let a minor mishap faze you.

Hi there, I was in a small town parade, nothing like a DW parade, but I had a blast. Just remember, that there are a lot of other things that the people are looking at, and if you mess up, don't worry. :-) People won't be "oh my gosh, that girl messed up" 3 days down the road. Just have fun, relish in the moment, and have your parents take lots of pictures for you to remember the parade by!! Good luck and say hi to Mickey Mouse for me!

Parades are fun! There are so many people laughing and cheering.
Just remember: The people in the audience don't know your routine, so they will have a hard time noticing if you make a mistake!
Don't worry so much, or the parade wont be enjoyable. It's just a show, you're not being judged on it!
