I see others have asked about this, but it seems to be a double standard. It's OK to stereotype bankers as older rich white men, but it would be wrong to stereotype any other group. Why is it OK in this commercial, but not in other cases?

To those who say it's just reflecting reality, then if I wanted to do a commercial about violent criminals, would it be ok to show most of them as black?

Oh my, that is so sad. That a group would be stereotyped like that, I am sure that bankers the world over are gnashing their teeth and beating their breast in outrage.
What group exactly is being discriminated against? Are bankers a race? Whats wrong with being stereotped as a banker, rich, educated, and having power. That is terrible.
Get a life.
Edit.
Your really not that smart of a person , are you? For it to be racist or insulting their would need to be an insult implied. Now, use your gray matter and tell me what is insulting about being a banker? Can you think of one?

No, they are not racist as the older rich white men isn't really a stereotype. Back in the 1800s and for a good part of the 1900s the people who were the head of banks were old(er), rich and white (and men).

I just find the commericals annoying. The idea was good when they first came out with it but it got old fast.

We could ask the same about KFC, they always have blacks in their commercials?

Or how about the credit consolidation companies, they have latinos.

Im serious, this is not meant to be racist, but pay attention next time you watch TV and see what type of people are in each commercial then really think about what the service or product is.

I think they are hilarious... you shouldn't take them so seriously.

It's okay because no one complains. It seems that public racism against whites is accepted, when no racism should be.
