I love The Strokes, especially Room On Fire and First Impressions of Earth, but they seem to have disappeared from popular interest over here (Ireland and Britain).
I'm just interested to know what their fan-base in the States is like at th moment.

It seems The Strokes' acclaim and reception have waned. They unfortunately suffered a backlash after Is This It was hyped to such amazing heights. I actually prefer Room on Fire and love First Impressions of Earth as well, but I know I'm in the minority there. I fear that they are a band whose spark is fairly ephemeral, and I think they'll probably break up before 2010, much to my dismay.

They were never really popular here. They had a minor hit with "Last Night", but that was it.
