I want to make sure it is not confusing to anyone. We can not decide. Marleigh, we think, is more fem. But people have been pronouncing it wrong, saying Marlay.
Just thought I would ask the people!!

I think Marleigh looks really good. Let people learn to call her the right way if they say it wrong!

Leigh is the fem version of Lee so it should be pronounced Marley. Marlee and Marleigh are more fem and I think that Marley is slightly masc. If people pronounce Marleigh wrong then why not try Marlee. It is a bit more obviously prononuced if you understand what I mean.

I see what you mean. I like the spelling "marleigh" but I too might look at it and pronounce the last syllable "lay." Then, I think Marley seems more masculine. If you don't want to confuse people, I would go with Marlee. It's cute, feminine, and straight to the point!

I think you should just pick the one you both like best! People pronounce names wrong all the time- I often get asked how to spell my name, and I thought it was obvious- have never seen it spelt differently than Louise! You will feel joy that you've picked the name you wanted, rather than "settled" for something because of worry about how people will pronounce it.
Just to complicate things further, I knew a girl by the name of Mali- same pronunciation as Marley/Marlee/Marleigh- and people always seemed to pronounce it correctly! It always seemed a pretty name to me, and she often got positive comments about her name.

Marley looks like a guys spelling. Either of the other two would work for a more feminine name - I prefer Marleigh.

Marlee looks and sounds pretty. Marleigh for some reason reminds me of a horse o.O. And Marley, for obvious reasons I don't like.

I agree with you, Marleigh, and when i read it i thought it was marley, so i don't understand why people would think that it was marlay, but all three ways are very pretty.

Marleigh is too confusing. Nix that one. Marley is too much like Bob Marley. I'd go with Marlee, it's cute.
