Um would you like to expound on that?
An advocate in what way?
I'm not a lawyer, but I am an advocate of GLBT rights...Child protections...gun safety reforms (not restrictions)...Education and the availability of higher education for those who can't afford it....health care and insurance coverages for those who can't afford it...retirement issues of the GLBT community...&...Health concerns of the Lesbian community.
How long have I advocated for these? Well I'd have to say most of my life. My parents raised me to believe that this country was supposed to stand for the equal rights of all its citizens and when there's an injustice or societal discrimination that it needs to be addressed.

Of what? Given the category, I guess you mean LGBT rights. That would be ever since I met my wife, which was 14 years ago, when I was 18. Actually, though I am bi, I pretended to be the "supportive straight gal" before then, which was difficult in a conservative Florida high school and an Assemblies of God church. At least the others knew not to make gay jokes around me.

Well i've never been against LGBT rights. Even before i came to terms with my own sexuality, i had many gay friends & was involved in gay rights acts. But i became a personal advocate for MYSELF being in the LGBT community in 2003.
