I have a 2002 Nissan Altima and the check engine light keeps coming on.?

The car also uses an excessive amount of oil and the engine misses constantly; at idle or at any speed. When I have oil added the check engine light goes off, but only for a few days.

take it for a diagnostic - most likely a sensor that is bad

Check for leaks, take car to an auto parts store to check what the check engine light's from.

all cars 2000 to present have the check engine stay on all the time. altimas have alot of complaints. i have an 04 honda and it runs great.
